When we take the time to genuinely thank others, we tap into a positive aspect of our own nature: our capacity for gratitude. My aim was to illustrate the defensive heart as we warn others and the subsequent emotional divide it might foster. Kevin, a dear spiritual companion, served as the model for this artwork, posing during an expressive session held in Bristol. I captured the pose and expression using videography, then blended modern and classical aesthetics with digital acrylics and inks on my trusty laptop.
