This limited edition Digital Acrylic painting represents the distancing heat and judgement we feel when we revile something. It's designed to be displayed in the therapy room or any spot where people engage in reflection or spiritual activities.
When we revile others we shrink our souls for a moment. There's nothing forgiving when we revile others there's nothing good for our hearts.
My goal was to reflect the hostility of reviling others and the internal distances it generates. The model for this piece is Kevin, a close spiritual friend, who posed for an expressive session in Bristol. I employed videography to seize the pose and expression, then integrated traditional and contemporary styles with digital acrylics and inks on my trusty laptop in this artwork.
