There's a wonderful moment of pivot when we fully realise something new. Our emotions at that precise moment drop down to neutral as the news sinks in before we can absorb it.
I intended to showcase the moment of deep realization and the inner separation it can invoke. James, a spiritual and kind-hearted friend, was the model for this piece, posing playfully during an evening session in Bristol. I recorded the pose and expression via videography and combined modern and classical elements with digital acrylics and inks on my reliable laptop in this artwork.
