Prayer quite simply is one of the fastest ways to find oneself, to engage the Divine and our hopes. For me the most powerful prayers give me the strongest sense of who I am.
I wanted to express the joy of deep prayer and the spiritual proximity it releases. The model for this creation is my dear spiritual friend Kevin, who posed for an expressive sitting in Bristol. I recorded the pose and expression through videography and used digital acrylics and inks on my trusty laptop to merge modern and traditional styles in this painting.
