'Pity' (therapy art print)
'Pity' (therapy art print)
Materials:
This limited edition Digital Acrylic painting represents the unusual blend of grief and arrogance as we see someone worthy of pity. It's intended to be in the therapy room wall, or any setting where self-discovery or spiritual tasks are done.
It's a sad feeling when we pity others. And the distance we create in that act is disconnecting. Most of us would rather endure the hate of others than their pity.
I endeavoured to explore the separation caused by pity and its disconnection, along with its internal impact. Saffi, married to a close friend from my men's group, posed naturally for this painting during a session in Bristol. I employed videography to document the pose and expression, then applied digital acrylics and inks on my dependable laptop to harmonize contemporary and classical aesthetics in this piece.
Only 250 of these prints were made, each with a Certificate of Authenticity to guarantee its quality and authenticity.
