My aim was to illustrate the defensive heart as we warn others and the subsequent emotional divide it might foster. This painting features Lewis, a trusted spiritual friend, who posed as the model during a session in Bristol. Using videography, I documented the pose and expression, and then on my dependable laptop, I used digital acrylics and inks to meld modern and classical styles in this painting.
