'Growing' (therapy art)
'Growing' (therapy art)
Materials:
This limited edition Digital Acrylic painting represents the immense sense of accomplishment we experience when we acknowledge our personal development. It's designed for the walls of a therapy room, or any spot where you engage in personal introspection or spiritual work.
Sometimes, we grow and only give ourselves a modest pat on the back. But when we undergo true, meaningful growth and fully acknowledge our achievements, we are overwhelmed with a profound sense of pride and empowerment. We come to realize the vast extent of our capabilities and strength in comparison to our former selves or the environments we once navigated. This recognition stirs deep emotions, highlighting just how far we've come and how much we are truly capable of.
My aim was to illustrate the defensive heart as we warn others and the subsequent emotional divide it might foster. The model in this piece is James, a kind-hearted spiritual companion, who brought his lively spirit to a session held one evening in Bristol. I started by capturing the pose and expression via videography, and afterwards, I used digital acrylics and inks on my faithful laptop to harmonize contemporary and classical elements in the painting.
This artwork is available as a limited edition print. Each piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, assuring you of both quality and authenticity.
