Most of us experience dreams of flying as children, and some are lucky to do so as adults. It's a playful wish, an empowering ability, a view on the world.
I sought to encapsulate the ethereal essence of dreamlike flying and the emotional lightness it releases within us. The model for this artwork is my close spiritual friend, Kevin, who kindly posed for an expressive sitting in Bristol. I captured the pose and expression through videography, followed by applying digital acrylics and inks on my reliable laptop to harmonize classical and contemporary styles in this painting.
