When we evaluate we slip into a cold dispassionate frame of mind, while remaining attentive and alert. A noble skill if you can evaluate in the heat of emotion.
I aimed to show both the careful consideration involved in the evaluation of options and the clarity it yields in decision-making. For this artwork, Saffi, the wife of a good friend from my men's group, posed comfortably during a modelling session in Bristol. I recorded the pose and expression via videography and merged traditional and modern aesthetics using digital acrylics and inks on my dependable laptop in this painting.
