When we're endeared to someone, we feel love and charm. We also feel a kind of easy yielding to their needs and their lives.
I aimed to capture both the warm effort of endearing oneself to others and the closeness it fosters in relationships. The model for this work is Lewis, a cherished spiritual friend who posed during a session in Bristol. I recorded the pose and expression with videography, followed by integrating digital acrylics and inks on my dependable laptop to merge classical and modern aesthetics in this painting.
