That wonderful squeezing feeling we have inside when we're truly elated is a lean-forward, bind-in and align-with-friends kind of feeling.
I sought to depict both the sheer intensity of elation and joy and the vibrant energy it infuses into our lives. Saffi, the wife of a close friend from my men's group, posed effortlessly for this painting during a modelling session in Bristol. I used videography to document the pose and expression, then blended modern with classical elements using digital acrylics and inks on my faithful laptop for this artwork.
