I intended to explore both the inner resilience required for dissent from others and the isolation it sometimes entails. James, a loving and spiritually connected friend, posed with a joyful spirit during an evening session in Bristol for this painting. I employed videography to seize the pose and expression and combined digital acrylics and inks on my reliable laptop to blend modern and classical aesthetics in this artwork.
