When we consider something, it's often a moment of stillness and pause. Being true to ourselves and to our real feelings about this consideration makes it more valuable. Truly spiritual people are considerate - not just to some people in some circumstances - but to everyone all the time.
I aimed to illustrate both the depth of contemplating life's great alternatives and the expansive perspective it offers. The model for this artwork is James, a cherished spiritual friend who brought a sense of playfulness to our evening session in Bristol. I captured the pose and expression using videography, followed by blending modern and classical styles with digital acrylics and inks on my trusty laptop in this artwork.
