Connection is such a vulnerable yet invigorating act. We need to move past caution and make ourselves truly open to the other person, energy or the Divine. We're never alone. We're eternally connected with everyone.
My goal was to convey both the sacred connection with the divine and the enlightenment it imparts to our lives. James, a kind and spiritually close friend, posed with playful enthusiasm during an evening session in Bristol for this painting. I used videography to document the pose and expression, then integrated digital acrylics and inks on my reliable laptop to harmonize traditional and modern aesthetics in this piece.
