There's such subtle glory to be gained in appreciation. When we notice, when we admire something or someone we're giving our positive energy outwards, but we're also reflecting it back inwards. That's the glow. Appreciating gives us a clear sense of gratitude and joy.
I aimed to illustrate both the heartfelt connection in appreciation and the warmth it fosters in our hearts. This painting features James, a dear and compassionate spiritual friend, who brought a playful energy to our evening session in Bristol. I captured the pose and expression through videography and blended modern with classical elements using digital acrylics and inks on my reliable laptop for this painting.
