There's just a wonderful warm openness about making an appeal. Either to friends, colleagues or to the Divine. It opens us up to bigger possibilities, and it also makes us vulnerable at the same time.
I intended to depict both the open sense of appeal and the persuasive power it holds in vulnerability. Lewis, a dear spiritual friend, served as the model for this piece, posing for it during a session in Bristol. I used videography to seize the pose and expression, followed by applying digital acrylics and inks on my faithful laptop to harmonize classic and modern styles in this artwork.
