This limited edition Digital Acrylic painting describes our natural heavenward look towards a higher goal or way of being. It's meant to be displayed in the therapy room or any area where introspection or spiritual endeavours take place.
When we aim for a goal or an ideal we often tend to look upwards, literally or metaphorically. We see our aim as something higher, something laudable, something good. And our highest aims connect us with the Divine.
My goal here was to convey both the focused feel of setting aims and the upward lift it brings. Lewis, a good spiritual friend, was the model for this work, and he posed for this painting during a session in Bristol. I started by using videography to document the pose and expression, then integrated modern and classical aesthetics with digital acrylics and inks on my trusty laptop.
